Karch Kiraly

Charles Frederick Kiraly, known as Karch, is a volleyball icon from Jackson, Michigan, USA. As an outside hitter and beach volleyball player, he won three Olympic gold medals (1984, 1988, 1996), three FIVB World Championship titles (1986, 1990, 1994), and two FIVB World Cup titles (1985, 1991). Kiraly’s impressive career statistics include 306 matches with a 74% attack efficiency.

He revolutionized the outside hitter position with exceptional ball control and strategic serving. He is the first player to win Olympic gold in indoor and beach volleyball. In the 1988 Seoul Olympics, he showed his greatest performance leading the USA to gold with 27 points in the final.
